this wedding is near and dear to my heart because i was designing for 2 of my best friends...krystal and harris, thank you for allowing me to be creative for you and for trusting in my ideas...to date, your wedding is still one of my favorites ever!
style file: "urban coastal"
elements: concrete, metal, acrylic, grapewood branches, succulents, air plants, moss, fungi caps, dark stained wood
colors: white, gray, brown, cobalt and every shade of green!
bridesmaids carried bouquets made up of varying types of small green and gray succulents...the bride carried one HUGE succulent! still obsessed with how striking it looked to have her holding one massive bloom...
little succulent bouts tied with natural linen ribbon...
ummmm, hello cobalt blue christian diors!! a pleasure to meet you....
because the venue was so stark and modern (hard lines, concrete, metal), we wanted to bring some LIFE into the space! we utilized succulents, grapewood, moss, air plants and fungi caps to give the space an organic feel...
these "living walls" were one of my absolute favorite things to create for a wedding EVER!!
we also made those custom throw pillows!
the groom is jewish so we wanted to do an interesting take on the chuppah...we created a framework using grapewood branches and suspended that above the couple...hung from the frame were 20 glass orbs holding green succulents...
metal chain link curtains surrounded the courtyard so we added some green air plants and wired candles to accent...
guests signed postcards from the state they were from and the bride's mom mailed them to her throughout the first year of their marriage! (this is what me and brian did for our own guest book and we LOVED it!)
cute little favor bags filled with goodies were give to guests...
the cake sat on top of an acrylic podium we filled with grapewood branches and massive air plants...
we gave sweet and saucy some air plants and they accented the cake with them - loved this!! i also loved those fondant bands of texture surrounding each layer of the cake...
